Welcome to Mineslop: Where Your Voice Is Your Weapon
The Idea That Started It All
What if your voice could cast spells in Minecraft?
Not just chat commands. Not "type /cast fireball" in the textbox. We mean actually speaking — out loud — and watching the game respond in real time.
That question is what sparked Mineslop, and we've been building toward the answer ever since.
What We're Building
Mineslop is a Minecraft server with voice-activated game modes. Your microphone isn't just for talking to friends — it's your primary controller. Speak incantations to cast spells. Shout commands to summon mobs. Stay silent to survive.
We're launching with six game modes, each designed around voice as a core mechanic:
- Vanishing World — The ground disappears. Speak fast or fall into the void.
- Mob Madness — Waves of mobs, one voice command to save them all.
- Mage Arena — Cast spells by speaking their names. Last mage standing wins.
- Don't Scream MC — Make a sound, and the monsters find you.
- Spell Duels — 1v1 voice combat. Fastest incantation wins.
- YAPYAP Dungeons — Talk your way through procedural dungeons. Literally.
Why Voice?
Minecraft already has incredible multiplayer energy. People scream at each other over Discord, call out coordinates, celebrate wins. We wanted to take that energy and make it part of the game.
Voice adds a layer that typing never can — urgency, emotion, improv. When you have to shout "FIREBALL" in the middle of a fight, it hits different than pressing a keybind.
Who's Behind This?
Two people with too many ideas and not enough sleep:
Adam builds the tech — the plugins, the server infrastructure, and this very website. MagicGum designs the games — every voice mechanic, every game loop, every "oh that's genius" moment.
What's Next
We're deep in development right now. The server is being built, the voice systems are being tested, and the games are coming together piece by piece.
